So when your dog is not in our St Erth dog day care you’ll be filled with dog friendly ideas for things to do, Hayle dog walking spots, and places to eat. Be sure to check out the rest of our Doggy Friendly Tour of Cornwall below, there’s plenty more to explore!
With gorgeous views over Hayle estuary Birdies Bistro sits on the edge of the RSPB’s Hayle nature reserve in Lelant. The cafe is open seven days a week serving classic English dishes with an imaginative twist. This spacious bistro has ample seating both indoors and outdoors, so there’s plenty of room for all the family including your dog. The fence surrounding the garden of the cafe has been specially customised with large viewing holes at both child and adult level, to ensure that birds and other wildlife can be watched with minimal disturbance. It also means dogs can enjoy being outside without risk of disturbing the birds.
King George’s walk starts in the centre of Hayle and follows alongside the Copperhouse tidal pool. The trail was planted as part of Hayle’s Millennium Project and won gold in the South West in Bloom competition. This level 1 km walk is perfect if you’re looking for a quick and easy route for you and your dog, and on Sundays the route is closed to cars (apart from residents who need access), so you can have a nice short stroll, undisturbed by traffic.
Nestled between Hayle and Lelant is The Vineyard Table and Scarlet Wines, a small wine shop, deli and restaurant that serves Mediterranean food with inspiration from Morocco and Lebanon. The restaurant is dog friendly and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as teas, coffees and cakes. Dining is relaxed and as you can image, they have an excellent wine list.
