When your pet’s are not in dog day care Newquay, you will want to spend as much time as possible with them, but sometimes it’s little tricky planning days out that allow you to bring your four-legged friend. That’s why we launched our series; Doggy Day Care Cornwall’s Dog Friendly Tour of Cornwall. Each post focuses on a new Cornish town covering everything from the best walks, restaurants and cafes, places to stay, gardens and tourist attractions. This week we’re focusing on Newquay, but stay tuned as we may be covering your town next…
The Headland Cornwall
The Headland is probably one of the most beautifully situated hotels in the country, sitting on the cliffs of Newquay, overlooking Fistral Bay. The hotel has nicely decorated rooms in a range of sizes and prices, private five star cottages to hire, a luxury spa and gym and a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is super dog friendly, allowing well behaved dogs into rooms for a charge of £24 per dog, per night. Included in this, each dog will receive a welcome pack with a bowl, blanket, food, and yummy treats. There’s also plenty of water bowls scattered around the hotel.
Just down the road from The Headland Cornwall is one of Newquay’s most famous beaches. The good news is, it’s dog friendly all year round. This expansive golden sand beach is the perfect spot to bring your four-legged friend on a sunny day. Why not bring a picnic for the whole family and make a day of it? Or on a brisk day it’s the perfect place to go dog walking. There’s lifeguard cover from Easter to October, parking and all the usual facilities you might expect.
