Doggy Day Care Cornwall’s Dog Friendly Tour of Cornwall: Falmouth

Doggy Day Care Cornwall- Dog Day Care Falmouth

Our world tends to revolve around dogs, and we’re guessing yours does too. When our doggies are not in dog day care Falmouth, we want to go everywhere with them, but sometimes it’s hard to find the best doggy spots. Since you all seem to be enjoying our dog friendly guides we decided to launch a new series; Doggy Day Care Cornwall’s Dog Friendly Tour of CornwallEach post will focus on a new town covering everything from the best walks, restaurants and cafes, places to stay, gardens and tourist attractions, giving you great ideas of activities for when you’re not using dog day care. Falmouth is our first spot, but stay tuned as we may be covering your town next…

Stable Pizza
First launching in Dorset in 2009 Stable Pizza has restaurants across the south of England. They have two Cornish Stables, but the Falmouth spot is right in the heart of the town, on Custom House Quay in a beautiful Grade II listed building. With unique flavours, delicious sour dough bases, and even a vegan menu there’s something for everyone here. Dogs are always welcome in the downstairs section of the restaurant, where there is also outdoor seating overlooking the quay and Falmouth Bay.

Pendennis Castle
Why not explore one of Henry VIII’s finest coastal fortresses; Pendennis Castle? There’s plenty to see and do here, with a First World War exhibition, a discovery centre, beautiful coastal views, and a lovely cafe. Dogs must be kept on a lead but are allowed both inside the buildings and around the grounds, as well as in the outside seating area of the cafe.  There’s also a large lawned area that’s perfect for a picnic, so you could bring along lunch for you and your four-legged friend.

Trebah Gardens
Situated just south of Falmouth on the Helford River is Trebah Gardens, a sub tropical paradise in a sheltered Cornish Valley. With over four miles of footpaths there plenty to explore; and you and your pooch will definitely be worn out afterwards. Dogs are welcome throughout the gardens and on the private beach, as long as they are kept on a lead. They also have designated doggy tables in Trebah Kitchen and dogs are welcome on the garden terrace and in the picnic area. Water bowls are available outside the Visitor Centre and they offer complimentary poop bags to dog owners on arrival.
