March is the perfect time for a long walk in the countryside followed by a delicious lunch with friends or family. Things can get a little trickier though, when you want to bring your four-legged friend along here at Doggy Day Care Cornwall we’ve put together a list of some of our favourite dog friendly places to eat:
Birdies Bistro, Hayle
With gorgeous views over Hayle estuary Birdies Bistro is open seven days a week serving classic English dishes with an imaginative twist. With spacious indoor and outdoor seating there’s plenty of room for all the family including your dog.
The Gurnard’s Head, Zennor
Situated on the scenic North Cornwall coast The Gurnard’s Head has open wood-burning fireplaces and a cosy interior, with a modern menu made with fresh, local produce. This dog friendly pub is the perfect stop off during a long walk with your pooch.
Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay
Looking out onto the bay Lusty Glaze Beach restaurant is nestled in a secluded privately owned cove just a short walk from the centre of Newquay. With seasonal dishes and relaxed dining Lust Glaze is the perfect family lunch spot. Excitingly they’ve now launched ‘Woof Wednesdays’, in which a bespoke doggy menu has been created costing just £3 per dish, with all the proceeds going to St Francis Home for Animals. So now you really can enjoy fine dining with your four-legged friends!
The Mexico Inn, Long Rock
This beautifully refurbished traditional village pub has comfy sofas and log fires. It’s an ideal spot for all the family, including your dog, as they serve real ales and deliciously interesting food. They are especially proud of their wonderful Sunday Lunch.
So there you have it, some of our favourite dog friendly places to eat. So when your dog isn’t staying at our luxury dog day care you can enjoy some quality time together with the whole family.
