Determined, Jordan set about establishing Doggy Day Care Cornwall in 2014 with a focus on creating the best centre for dog care within the South West, after establishing a demand for a care service for four-legged friends whilst working for a well-known Veterinary group.
From the start Jordan has been the driving vision behind the business, which now occupies a former 13-acre golf course, with onsite natural pet shop and continues to champion quality customer service and innovation within canine care and nutrition.
Joe relocated to Cornwall from Brighton last year, where he worked as an outdoor leader and qualified forest school practitioner for pre-school children. Joe has a long history of animal related qualifications which include a degree in Animal Science covering biology, conservation and ecology. Joe has always wanted to work with animals, so his position here as a dog care enrichment coordinator is a dream.
After earning degrees in both Animal Behaviour, Animal Psychology and Animal Conservation Science, Jess joined the team earlier this year. She’s had years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and ages and has become an integral part of the Doggy Day Care Cornwall team. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her own dogs – Rolo, Poppy and Tilly.
Ryan’s degree in Animal Science exposed him to the world of animals, but none could ever beat man’s best friend. His research focused on human relationships with animals, especially our bonds with companion animals. In addition to this Ryan is a qualified VNA and is qualified in first aid for dogs. Outside of work Ryan has his own fluffy friends, Casper & Hubble.
Growing up in a pet crazed family, our Dog Care Supervisor Craig is experienced in all breeds, sizes and ages of dogs. One of the biggest things he learnt growing up with pets, was the importance of treating an animal as an equal. Craig is hard working, energetic and passionate about animal care. He spends his free time with his Jack Russell Spot.
Sammy moved to Cornwall 7 years ago from Yorkshire. Sam loves nothing more than interacting and playing with the gang, and can normally be found rolling around on the floor with our guests. Sam has cared for many dogs from a young age, giving her experience in a wide range of breeds.
Minna joined the Doggy Day Care Cornwall team this summer, after gaining degrees in both Animal Behaviour, Animal Psychology and Zoology. She has several years experience working in the pet industry; both in dog care and pet nutrition as well as canine hydration therapy and has three dogs of her own; Lana, Toby and Bobby.
Alongside Jordan, Katy founded Doggy Day Care Cornwall back in 2014. Thanks to her years of business and marketing experience, she has helped develop the business into a one-stop-shop for Cornwall’s pet care and nutrition needs. Katy has grown up with dogs throughout her life and now spends her free time playing with her own four legged friends; Flora and Gracie.
